Amadeus ensured that the newest generation of culinary professionals has the necessary attire to make a confident and polished impression in their careers.
Amadeus has recently embarked on a uniform refresh across its entire estate - aimed at providing managers, supervisors, and chefs with modern attire that reflects the company's commitment to consistency and professionalism.
With a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of future culinary talents, Amadeus partnered with Russums, their trusted uniform supplier, and found a perfect match in Westminster Kingsway College.
Amadeus sought a purposeful destination for the previous uniforms that could not be donated to a standard charity due to the inclusion of the Amadeus tax tab. That's when their uniform supplier, Russums, introduced them to WestKing—a renowned institution that invests significantly in training the next generation of caterers.
The college's commitment to culinary education and its impressive track record, which includes training renowned chefs like Jamie Oliver, made them an ideal choice for the new partnership. The collaboration between Amadeus and WestKing not only facilitates the donation of uniforms but also represents a shared passion for the growth and development of individuals in the catering sector.
By providing the college with high-quality jackets, trousers, waistcoats, dresses, skirts, shirts, and purple ties, Amadeus ensured that the newest generation of culinary professionals has the necessary attire to make a confident and polished impression in their careers.
Amadeus identified uniforms from their refresh that still had ‘life in them’, making them ideal for reuse. This attire was recently donated to WestKing, allowing them to serve a new purpose and aid students in their professional journeys. This gesture not only promotes sustainability but also supports the catering industry by equipping talented individuals with the attire they need to excel in their chosen field.

Our uniform donation to WestKing demonstrates our commitment to empowering careers and supporting the growth of aspiring caterers. Through this unique partnership, talented individuals entering the culinary world will receive the necessary attire to confidently progress in their careers.Mark Charlampowicz, General Manager of The VOX
Paul Jervis, Head of School for Hospitality and Culinary Arts said:
“We are incredibly grateful to receive this fantastic donation of hospitality service uniforms from Amadeus.
“Over the years WestKing has received generous support from many catering suppliers who have kindly provided industry equipment and clothing to help us train the next generation of chefs and hospitality professionals to the highest possible standards.
“As a college, we have been very proactive when it comes to recycling and tackling food waste. This latest contribution to the college is just another example of how WestKing is looking to become more sustainable, not just in hospitality, but across the wider college group.”
In a happy coincidence, one of WestKing's hospitality uniform colours align perfectly with Amadeus' brand colour of purple. This collaboration marks the beginning of a longstanding partnership, with the potential to bring forth future collaborations, mentorship opportunities, and joint initiatives that positively impact the catering landscape.
