Our objective is to be a sustainable caterer, while staying committed to the quality of the food and beverage offering. Constantly innovating and evolving, we are continuing to grow partnerships that reduce food waste and our impact on the environment.
Local sourcing has become part and parcel of Amadeus’ culture. 80% of our food and beverage suppliers can be found within a 30-mile radius, which supports local businesses and British farmers, while keeping produce as fresh as possible. Not only does this reduce food miles, but also has a huge impact on the business’ carbon footprint and emissions.
In 2019, Amadeus became the first events catering company to partner with food waste pioneers Winnow. Early research suggests that the business will save more than 16 tonnes of food - the equivalent of 40,800 meals a year - at the ICC, one of its venues.
With an average recycle rate of 80%, Amadeus has become a zero to landfill business and doesn’t have any single use plastic on its premises. 100% of its disposable packaging spend is on sustainable products - either recyclable, biodegradable or compostable.
